A Tour of Salem's Lot
Frankly I can't imagine spending Halloween in a creepier place than a town overrun with vampires. And thanks to an entrepreneur YouTube poster we can see what it might look like!
Filmed in the small town of Ferndale, California during the summer of 1979, this video takes a guided tour of the locations used and what they look like today. If you've seen the original mini-series you'll probably recognize a few.
I don't know about you but I'd love to have the decrepit Marsten house. Then I'd prop the coffin Barlow rests in up in the foyer for all guests to see as they entered!

Meet Mr. Barlow...
From the (vastly superior) 1979 CBS mini-series, based on the same book by Stephen King, Salem's Lot. I must admit, when I first saw this I think I jumped about a foot off the couch I was on. So, forewarned.
P.S. I have another, longer post on Salem's Lot coming up for Halloween. Until then none of that glittering, new-age stuff either.
